This painting has a reference from Michelangelo's famous painting "The fallen angel". I've portrayed Vincent as Lucifer here because I find they resemble somewhere. People banished Vincent from humanity like Lucifer was in heaven. The pain and anger in their eyes are quite the same. Vincent's eyes depict the tragic artistic life he has lived all along. He remained unacknowledged and unnoticed his entire life. The tears in his eyes are so strong, they'll make us feel his pain.
